DayOne Conference: Designing the Future of Health

Call for participation at the Open Innovation Event organised by the Innovation Hub for Precision Medicine DayOne

Your next doctor might be a software bot fuelled by Artificial Intelligence trained on petabytes of health data, captured by a horde of implanted sensors measuring biomarkers on your own personalized health continuum with yet unseen precision.

Is this the future of health? One thing is for sure: Healthcare as we know it will be very different in 7 to 15 years from now.

What can we expect of the future? How will we get there? And last: What does it take to make precision medicine happen?

Healthcare innovators, practioners, patients, scientists, entrepreneurs, industry experts, researchers and ICT specialists are invited to discuss these questions among their peers and explore opportunities in creating the future of Health.

This will not be your usual conference. The day will be structured with opportunities to hear from thought leaders but also a chance to engage and work with your peers in the room and have some of your own ideas challenged.

What can you expect?

  • Thought leaders from Switzerland and abroad will share their insights on healthcare and life sciences.
  • Together with peers reflect on challenges, co-create ideas and sketch out solutions that will contribute to the future of healthcare.
  • Entrepreneurs and innovators will present and discuss their solutions among peers and industry experts
  • Healthcare professionals and patients will set challenges to the community (see our Call for Input below)
  • An inspirational day and opportunity to expand your network in a fun environment

How can you contribute to Day One?
Workshops – Projects and Challenges

Projects

As part of the day there will be an opportunity for entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs and innovators to get feedback on existing ideas and projects and for anyone to set a healthcare challenge to be worked on during the day.

If you have a project that you have started working on or even a company or product that is already formed – here is a great place for you to get feedback and maybe find a new partner!

Last year twelve projects received valuable feedback with some finding new partners, others continuing the journey to incorporation and start-up, some simply refining their idea and still others getting enough feedback to decide not to continue with their original idea.

Send an email to Thomas Brenzikofer with a short summary of:

1. The idea, project or initiative
2. A short statement on why it excites you and
3. Why you will succeed

Challenges

Do you have something that annoys you about the way healthcare is done today? Not sure how to fix it or have only part of the answer? Set a challenge to the DayOne community.

Send an email to Thomas Brenzikofer with a short summary of:

1. The challenge or irritation you have
2. What it is about it that particularly annoys you
3. What it would mean if this challenge was solved

The Day One team will then get in touch with you with further information on the day.

How can you be part of Day One?

The Workshop is free of charge. There are no prerequisites. All backgrounds are welcome. We aim at having a broad mix of talent in the room and we particularly welcome healthcare professionals. Space is limited, so please register now via the registration link.

Please also share this invitation with your network.

Let’s design the next step in Healthcare together!

We are looking forward to meeting you at DayOne conference.
