The Industry 4.0 Challenge for Swiss start-ups and Industry 4.0 projects took place for the first time in 2018. Companies and projects wishing to participate in 2019 are already eligible to apply.

Applications for the Industry 4.0 Challenge 2019 are welcome

The Industry 4.0 Challenge enters the next round

i4Challenge 2019

Have you developed innovative solutions, new approaches and sophisticated products in the field of Industry 4.0? Then we would like to get to know you. is hosting a challenge for Swiss start-ups and industry 4.0 projects at the Industry 4.0 trade fair in Mulhouse, BE 4.0 for short.

We offer a platform which encourages you to promote your product or service. In addition, you will gain access to partners and customers in the region through and enjoy the unique opportunity of testing your product in a real environment and receiving feedback from experts.

A prestigious panel from industry will evaluate the submitted projects. Three candidates will proceed to the finals. Among other things, they can look forward to an exhibition stand at the BE 4.0 with access to potential customers. Click here to sign up.


The Challenge is aimed at young entrepreneurs, SMEs, university projects with industry 4.0 products or services. All projects that are active in the cantons of Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft or Jura and that can demonstrate a prototype or a product can participate.

The three winning projects:

  • win a stand at the BE 4.0 trade fair in Mulhouse in November 2019
  • are portrayed on our online channels
  • benefit from the vast network
  • have the option to appear as key note speaker at one of our events.

BE 4.0 Fair for Industry 4.0 in Mulhouse

The Salon Industries du Futur Mulhouse, BE 4.0, is one of the most important meeting points for European Industry 4.0 solution providers and interested parties. The fair is offering a platform for Swiss, French and German companies presenting their latest innovations in the field of Industry 4.0, and expects more than 3500 visitors on two days.
