Bring your market and competitor analysis to the next level

Your product idea is born, first prototypes are produced and tests are realized. You know your market – but do you truly understand it? Or are your market approach, positioning and target customer profile vague?

If you are facing these challenges, you should join this workshop session. It will provide effective and efficient tools and approaches to perform a market and competitor analysis. Furthermore, you will learn how to quantify the addressable market and gain in-depth market knowledge. In breakout sessions you gain hands-on experience by discussing tailor-made examples from the medical device industry. The examples given in the workshop will be from the LifeScience and MedTech realm, the insights however are easily transferable to other technological fields.

1. Introduction, frame setting & motivation.

2. Get the right insight mix of theory and practice

2.1 Market: PEST analysis, quantitative assessment tools, qualitative assessments tools, quantify the addressable market

2.2 Competitor: Identifying my competitors (direct or indirect), positioning within competitive landscape

2.3 Customer: Fine-tuning of value proposition

3. Practice: Break-out session in small groups (participants are invited to bring their own cases related to topics)

4. Presentation & discussion of findings in whole group

5. Final remarks, Q&A, feedback.

Startup projects are preferred

If applicable, please include a short description of the project for which you would like to attend the seminar. As the economic promotion of the Basel area, we specifically support startup projects from the region with our free seminars and workshops. Hence, projects from Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft and Jura are handled with priority. If the seminar is overbooked we only admit one person per company.

 

 

 

Speaker

Ulrike Neuberger holds a Double Degree in European Business Administration from ESB Reutlingen (Germany) and Universidad Pontificia Comillas (Spain). She has more than 15 years experience in the healthcare industry, mainly with Medical Devices and OTCs. Ulrike has a broad business understanding and experience in leading product development projects. She has worked in various line functions such as product management and market development.


She is co-founder and partner of the small boutique consultancy MEDICALBOARD and Manager at EFFECTUM MEDICAL. Ulrike knows both sides – business and training – and frequently holds workshops and seminars.
