Straumann unveils new products

Straumann, a dental company from Basel, has developed a range of new products, including a two-piece ceramic implant and a mini implant system. The dental company from Basel has also announced pre-clinical and clinical results for its fully tapered implant BLX.

Straumann announced the launch of its new products for the 27th Annual Scientific Meeting of the European Association for Osseointegration in Vienna.

The two-piece ceramic implant is a new addition to the PURE CI portfolio, which offers highly aesthetic tooth replacements with the color and translucence of natural tooth roots. With the new solution, there is added prosthetic flexibility and facilitated handling.

Straumann has included the PURE range in its Lifetime Plus Guarantee program, making it the first manufacturer to offer this level of guarantee for a ceramic implant system.

The Basel dental company has also developed a new mini implant system with a diameter of just 2.4 millimetres. Reported to be cost effective and minimally invasive, the new mini implant also impresses with its reliable connection between implant and bone.

With another of its implants, BLX, Straumann has made significant inroads into the field of fully tapered implants, which is the fastest growing segment in the industry. Straumann worked with world leading experts to develop the new product and is now planning a limited market launch, with full launch to follow in the coming year.
