Barsan Global Logistics: A global supplier in Pratteln

In 2017, representatives from Barsan Global Logistics (BGL) visited Switzerland to identify a suitable location for building up a Swiss subsidiary. The parameters were clear: BGL was looking for a warehouse with offices. Although the company also considered other Swiss cantons as possible locations, the Basel region was high up on the list from the beginning. After fruitful meetings with BaselArea.swiss and the officials from canton Basel-Stadt and Canton Basel-Landschaft, BGL decided on setting up its subsidiary in Pratteln, Canton Basel-Landschaft. “We chose the Basel region because of its unique geographical location in close proximity to Germany and France, the warehouse in Pratteln being a perfect addition between our locations in Stuttgart and Paris,” says Kerim Mert Sayici, Regional Manager, BGL. “The Basel region’s strong logistics cluster was also a big plus. Aided by our new presence in Pratteln, BGL aims to improve its global network and provide an even better service to its multinational clients.”
