The first FutureHealth Basel was held on Friday in Basel, with speakers discussing key changes in the healthcare sector. 350 guests attended the successful premiere with its international appeal.
“With the new FutureHealth Basel conference, the Swiss Economic Forum and the Basel Chamber of Commerce are making a contribution to how we think about the healthcare system and to readying the Swiss life sciences and healthcare industry for the future,” said Dominik Isler, CEO of SEF.
Some 20 speakers presented to 350 guests at the sold-out event. The growing importance of networks and international healthcare systems were just as much a topic as new technologies. Measures needed to make the Swiss healthcare system ready for the future were also discussed. FutureHealth Basel was rounded off by presentations from startups.
“We are pleased that FutureHealth Basel was able to launch a new format of conference with international appeal in Basel and that the premiere was a success,” said Chamber of Commerce director Franz A. Saladin.
FutureHealth Basel will be held again next year on 21 January.
