The consulting firm KPMG has acquired the Basel-based software developer Terria Mobile. With the acquisition, KPMG is substantially enhancing its range of digital services.
Its products include the LaunchBase system platform, which supports the mobile use of highly complex IT systems and business processes. It also enables apps to be managed and controlled.
KPMG has acquired the “nationally and internationally acclaimed, multi-award-winning company from Basel” to strengthen its “conceptual, consulting and implementation expertise in digital process design”, according to the statement.
“This will allow us to offer clients even more extensive support with their digital transformation, a process that often requires you to think in a radically different way,” commented KPMG Switzerland CEO Stefan Pfister.
Terria Mobile was founded six years ago and will now be part of KPMG, explained CEO Robin Wirz. He added that the acquisition increased opportunities for the Basel-based company.
He said: “Joining KPMG will greatly broaden our abilities in supporting our customers in their digital transformation and enlarge our service offering.”
As a result of the acquisition, LaunchBase will be improved “with a host of new features and modules”.
