Clinerion enters another partnership

The Basel-based start-up company Clinerion has extended its patient recruitment system’s network. It will now incorporate patient data from the hospitals belonging to the Baskent University in Ankara.

The Baskent University runs a number of hospitals across Turkey. Among them are six general hospitals, four specialist centres and eight dialysis centres, explained Clinerion in a statement.

These hospitals are joining Clinerion’s Patient Recruitment System (PRS), giving it access to data on 4.5 million patients.

The Basel-based company developed the PRS to align patient data from clinics and find suitable candidates for clinical trials. In turn, patients receive rapid access to innovative treatment methods.

Because increasing numbers of hospitals worldwide are using the system, its geographic coverage and the amount of patient data on file are continually rising.

“We are very happy to have the best private university hospital group in Turkey in PRS,” commented Ulf Claesson, CEO of Clinerion, in the statement. “We have been expanding around the world, but Başkent allows us to extend our presence throughout Turkey, giving us near-complete coverage of the country.”
