4-Check finds success

4-Check already has several major customers and is active in a range of countries. The Basel-based startup is among the Swiss pioneers in the field of Industry 4.0. Formerly a limited partnership, it recently became an AG.

Behind 4-Check’s success is its checklist app, which operates in the data cloud and supports quality control in companies.

According to a report on startupticker.ch, the Basel-based startup company boasts clients including Siemens, IT services provider Atos, gastronomy franchise Dean & David and multi-technical services company SPIE

With 4-Check’s checklist app, clients can create their own checklists based on templates that conform to existing standards and directives. Essential for clients, according to 4-Check CEO Jan Wokittel, is that they can “expect a higher profit with us, because their service will become faster and more professional”.

For some time, the company has been developing sensor-led checklists in the field of Industry 4.0. “We took on this development because it was a specific requirement with one customer“, explained Wokittel in the report. “It was also important for us to be the first company to provide the latest technology.”

The application is particularly interesting for large companies. Wokittel defined flexibility as the key to 4-Check’s success, revealing that since the company launched two years ago, nothing has gone according to the business plan. “The most positive aspect in building the company was that we succeeded in adapting to new conditions to help our company take off – in a necessarily short space of time”, he said.
