Mariela Salas

Manager Marketing

Mariela Salas joined in July 2019 in order to support the BaseLaunch accelerator program and DayOne in marketing matters, among other tasks. She was previously Director of Marketing at the American University of the Caribbean Medical School and Marketing Manager for Baptist Health South Florida, one of the largest regional hospital systems.

Ten years earlier, Mariela worked in advertising for Saatchi & Saatchi sister agencies Conill and Hill Holliday, Hispanic-focused shops in Miami handling multi-million-dollar accounts across diverse industries. Her clients included Procter & Gamble (Crest, Head & Shoulders), Lexus, Cleveland Clinic, CVS/Pharmacy, Dunkin’ Donuts and several others.

Mariela Salas studied Marketing at the University of Miami (US), and also earned an MBA in International Business with a specialization in Computer information Systems at the same location. She obtained a diploma in Desktop Publishing and Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale (US) and most recently a certification from the Digital Marketing Institute.
